About NomadNook
NomadNook is a small independent publication that explains one surprising fact about the natural world at a time. We make short videos about wildlife, marine life, nature and science, and give every video its own page here with the full story, quick facts and answers to the questions people ask most.
What we publish
Each video starts from a single, checkable claim: how fast an orca can swim, why a male seahorse carries the babies, how bats see with sound. The page behind it explains the idea in plain language, adds context and numbers, and answers common follow-up questions. You can watch first and read more if the fact catches your curiosity.
How we work
NomadNook is produced with a mix of automation and human review. Topics are chosen from a curated list, scripts and articles are drafted with the help of AI tools, and the output goes through automated quality checks and our own review before it is published. Narration is synthetic voice. Video footage comes from licensed stock libraries, and where a scene uses an AI-generated illustration it is labeled as synthetic on the platform. Credits for footage and music are listed at the bottom of each video page.
Accuracy and corrections
We try to rely on well-established figures and to say "about" or "up to" when a number varies. Nature facts get revised, and we sometimes make mistakes. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will check it and correct the page.
Where to find us
